Mandarin Hair policies

 

Your appointments are very important to the team members of Mandarin.  They are reserved especially for you.  We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.

 

Strict and enforced 24 hour cancellation policy

 

Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago.  Since the services are reserved for you personally, a cancellation fee will apply when we get less than 24 hours notice.

 

- Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.

 

- Failure to appear or cancel your appointment will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.

 

The cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our team members scheduled filled, thus better serving everyone.

 

Confirmation texts and emails

 

As a courtesy, we will text and email to confirm your service appointments 48 hours prior to your appointment. However, if we are unable to reach you, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments and the cancellation fee.

 

Late arrivals

 

We understand that sometimes you may be held up or late for your appointment. If you are within ten minutes of your appointment, we will be able to accommodate you. Beyond the ten minute threshold, whilst we will do our best to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee we will be able to.

 

Skin testing policy

 

Mandarin Hair have a duty of care to make sure that you are protected in the salon. For this reason, we require you to come to the salon 2-5 days before your first colour appointment for a skin test. This is the best way of ensuring that you are allergy free when it comes to hair colouring.

Free roam policy

​

At Mandarin, we consider ourselves to be a "free roam salon". We do understand that you may wish to move to a different stylist, whether that be that they have better availability or they work a day that suits you better.  We promise not to be offended if you do. We regard you as a client of our salon. We offer you the option to select the stylist of your choice or change each time you visit.
